Jon Bierman's interests in design, photography, business and theatre were all major influences leading to his first career in theatre advertising. For more than a quarter century, he represented over 200 Broadway and off-Broadway productions, including such Tony Award® and Pulitzer Prize winning plays as Proof, Driving Miss Daisy, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Love! Valour! Compassion!, and Glengarry Glen Ross. He also served as advertising representative for the long-running off-Broadway hits The Fantasticks and Forbidden Broadway.
In 2009, Jon embarked on his second act, making his Broadway producing debut as part of the team for the Tony nominated musical revival of Finian's Rainbow. In 2010 he joined the Broadway League where for five seasons he served as a Tony voter. Jon co-produced the acclaimed Broadway revivals of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters, D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize winning The Gin Game, and most recently Heidi Schreck's Tony nominated Best Play, What the Constitution Means to Me, winner of the NY Drama Critics Circle & Obie Awards for Best American Play.
Also as part of his second act, Jon has revisited his passion for photography - taking workshop classes at 92Y Tribeca and the International Center of Photography, and creating a photo website to showcase his work. His portraits have been published to promote Broadway poster artist Frank "Fraver" Verlizzo's book, "Fraver by Design: 5 Decades of Theatre Poster Art from Broadway, Off-Broadway and Beyond," as well as in The New York Times' Weddings section.
Jon holds a B.A. with honors from Tufts University and an M.F.A. in Theatre Management from Columbia University.
